Joins Braga on five-year deal

Huseinbasic signed with Braga from Koln on a free transfer, committing to the club through 2031, his new club announced.

Analysis: Huseinbasic came through the German football system at Darmstadt, Eintracht Frankfurt and Kickers Offenbach before joining Koln in 2022-23, where he went on to make 107 Bundesliga appearances, contributing eight goals and seven assists. The 24-year-old Bosnian international initially represented Germany at under-21 level on five occasions before switching allegiance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, making his senior debut against England in June 2024 and accumulating seven caps to date. Huseinbasic has already completed his medical and will join Braga's pre-season preparations when they get underway on June 22 under coach Carlos Vicens.
