Lead forward for Vikings
Haaland is set to be the key piece and leading goal scorer for Norway at the 2026 World Cup.
Analysis: Haaland carried Norway to the World Cup and will now have the weight of a nation on his back as he tries to lead them through the group stage. The striker will be used as the main piece in the attack for the club and will be the focal point for numerous opposing defences, bringing a little concern to his chances at scoring. However, with a few other top attackers around him, along with a world-class playmaker in Martin Odegaard in the midfield, his chances of finding good opportunities remain high. After 35 goals between UCL and league play with Manchester City, he seems bound to at least score a couple for Norway in the group stage, a likely need if they want to advance in the tournament.
Scores late goal
Haaland scored one goal to go with two shots (one on goal) and one chance created in Tuesday's 1-1 draw against AFC Bournemouth.
Analysis: Haaland tried to drag City back into the game with a late stoppage-time goal, although it was too little too late. This is his fourth straight game with a goal contribution, earning one goal in FA Cup play while scoring three goals and one league assist during that span. He is now up to 27 goals this season, set to win yet another Premier League Golden Boot.
